WEEK 8-11: HOLIDAYS + PREGNANCY = EXTRA NAPS!

Week 8, December 1:
Right from the beginning, the holidays were exhausting this year!
We went to Frito Lay’s Christmas party Friday night (Nov. 30), we threw an Ugly sweater party at our house for our local friends Saturday night (Dec 1st), and Monday early morning I had to fly out for a week long training on how to prevent strokes with anticoagulants (my new product) in Arizona. Ugh.
After completing a week long of what felt like cruel and unusual punishment of training, I got in late Friday night from traveling. I was able to eat the delicious dinner my wonderful husband had ready for me, and then I passed out on the couch- all within about an hour of getting home. I slept about 12 hours that night!
The next day, we had another Frito Christmas party- the baby and I were seriously ready for the holidays to be over and it was only December 8th!!
Week 11, Saturday December 22:
Rich and Doris (Garrett’s parents) arrived from Dallas, and Garrett and I decided to invite all of our family (On Garrett’s side) over to our place for a long overdue dinner, and to tell them our big news. I’m sure Doris was excited to see her family and to see us, and be in California for Christmas, but I think she was most excited to finally be able to talk about the baby with everyone! When we originally told Rich and Doris early in November, we asked them to please not say anything until we could tell everyone in person late in December. Doris was nice enough to grant our request. That could NOT have been easy, since she’s so close to her family! In the end, I think it was a big pay-off to have everyone together, and to be able to tell them all in person:)
Between week 10-11:December 25th, Christmas:
Baby Pounds already had some presents to open, which we weren’t expecting at all! I’m missing a very cute ornament in the picture below, from the Figueroa family, but the rest of this is from the Grandparents-to-be, and aunties/ uncles- to-be.  Yes, there are two baby towels that are exactly the same- grandparent’s think alike, and we can never have too many of those!
Getting an amazing pregnancy-sleeping pillow, thanks to Alissa, also spoiled the soon-to-be mommy! Along with a French inspired parenting book and a philosophy set specifically for future mommies, thanks Kathy! Also not in the pic is my first pregnancy outfit, thanks to Omar and Suz, and an adorable PJ set with a little robe, thanks to my Parents :)
