Month 3: Lifting his head, Kristin's Baby Shower, Chatty video & Active in the crib videos

Happy 3 Months to William! :)

Every month he has been photographed laying on a blanket he was gifted.

Month one was a beautiful blanket gifted by Darcy and the Arata Family.

Month two was a really cute blanket his Great Grandmother, "Mama Rosita" knit.

This month, this comfy quilt was made by Grandma Doris :)

Love these chins!

This month has finally been one where we have been seeing more action! There are a couple of videos below. If you would like to see them, you may need to be on a laptop. Enjoy :)

Like Daddy, like Son
These aren't the only two positions these two both like to sleep in. I'll have try and capture some other poses. It's pretty funny!

Auntie Erika and Grandma Doris came to visit

We had so much fun hanging out with Erika and Doris, and were so grateful for their help during their stay!
William feeling very comfy and relaxed with his Auntie

Mr Chatty- Video
William loves chatting! Especially in the morning after waking up, or after any daytime nap. I'm not sure if I shared this but when they first placed him on me at the hospital for some "skin to skin" he was already making all sorts of coo's and cute baby noises. He will fit right in not only with me, but with all of our family!

William makes "running while laying down" possible! - 2 videos below

One of his new nicknames: Mr. Bubbles

Sticking his tongue out
Sometimes when I sing to him, or just chat he starts to stick his tongue out. So I stated to play with him by wiggling my tongue side to side quickly and he sticks his tongue out even more. It's pretty cute.

Loves to Shop
For my Mom's birthday, we had lunch outdoors and then went walking around Broadway Plaza. It was technically the first time he's been in a mall, even though this is an outdoor mall. He's usually napping when I run errands with him, but this time he was wide awake and loving the outside. His eyes seemed extra bright and he was giving the biggest smiles ever!  Much to Garrett's horror, it looks like I have a new shopping buddy! :)

Proud Grandparents :)

This picture is the background on my cell phone - makes me smile :)

Hanging out with Daddy, while Mommy has lunch with friends

Garrett got some really cute pictures of William this day. Of course, he also picked out his outfit!

So cuddly

Our smiley little buddha- rub his belly for good luck!

Technically sleeping through the night
About two weeks ago, I decided give him his pacifier while I was warming his bottle in the middle of the night. Much to my surprise it made him fall back asleep, a seriously deep asleep! I, in the meantime, was hanging out sitting on the side of the bed. Staring at him, beyond tired with the stupid warm bottle. No more of this- I thought!

So, I decided I would give him his pacifier all night. He probably just wanted to sleep the whole time, and here we were, still getting him up to feed him. Well, the first couple of nights seemed to work he "slept" from 9pm to 7am, but after a couple of days of waking up all night to keep giving him the pacifier we realized he still really wanted to eat at around 3-4am. I have to say, this isn't the most fun time of the night to feed him, but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be when he was a newborn eating every 2-3 hours. I've read that technically if the baby sleeps 6 hours straight it's considered "sleeping through the night." Too bad that's not the parents' definition, but we're getting there.

Slowly mastering "tummy time"
We make sure William gets his daily tummy time in. He seems to really like it when we first set him down, and then it usually ends in a puddle of drool with him borderline crying. It seems to be paying off though, he can now hold his head up! Next is learning to roll himself over. It's slightly terrifying to think he will be somewhat mobile soon.

He also loves to suck on his hand while he takes breaks from holding his head up. He hasn't fully "discovered" looking and moving his hands, but I guess he's headed in the right direction.

Leg kicks!

Sometimes I get him to hang out a little longer by reading him a book while he's on his tummy.

First social event
His first official social event was Kristin's Baby shower at the Orinda Country Club. He was practically asleep the entire time. We were at my parents' house before we went over to the party and they said he "didn't want to nap." So he was pretty tired, ha.

William wore his "Sunday best," and then changed (after he spit up on the first one) into the outfit Kristin got him that paid homage to Loki -Kristin's cute doggie. We can't wait until baby Wesley gets here so William can play with his new friend!
