William loves running around, uses some baby sign language during meal times, and say a couple of words. Only three of them are pretty clear- Mama, Dada and Dog. Every moving creature is a dog in William's vocab world! He's also getting his last four teeth in. I can not wait for these last four to come in, and to be officially done with teething! It has NOT been an enjoyable thing for any of us!
W is also more cuddly, and looks for comfort when he hurts himself. He likes me to give him a tight hug and give his hand, toes, fingers, etc that he hurt lots of kisses to feel better:) He's starting to grab his favorite books and bring them to us more often, and then grunts and grunts until we read them to him. He's usually friendly and loves to wave. He even waves back at commercials on TV when they wave for some reason. So lots of fun stuff!
Practicing his Spanish
William got to hang out with some of his cousins from Mexico at his Grandparents' home in Danville. I loved the fact that David, (3-years old) and Diego, (6 years old) speak fluent spanish. He loved hanging out with them! I was really impressed by how patient and sweet they were with William. Below are some pics of them building some towers for William to knock down, all of the involved parties thought it was really fun :) David also tried teaching William how to dance the "cha-cha," it was really funny. Unfortunately, I didn't have my phone on me and couldn't record it. It was one of those, "Do I potentially miss this moment by trying to go and grab my phone, or do I just take in the moment?" I obviously chose the latter.
David also told his mom and dad that he wanted one of "these" as he patted William's head. So cute!
Celebrating Abuelita (Abe's) Birthday
For my Mom's birthday, we all went to the Palo Alto outdoor shopping area, which I miss going to! I would go pretty often in between all the wedding planning while Garrett and I were still engaged, it's such a pretty outdoor shopping area! William loved all the fountains, flowers and open areas to run around in. My Mom and I enjoyed the shopping :)
One of his new obsessions: Pushing his stroller
Park with Diego and David
Hanging out at Hap McGhee park with his Great Grandma Mama Rosita, Abuelita Pita, Auntie Susi and Diego and David :)
William let us know just how much he likes the swings now that he can communicate a bit more. Let's just say we hungout with him at the swings for "a while"...thankfully there were a couple of us to cover all the kids.
Diego enjoyed the evening at the park, by mostly hanging on the round spinning thing, what is that called again? The evening time is my favorite, because the park is practically empty and the weather is perfection!
David, making a "potted flower" out of a train he found on the floor and then he went and gifted it to Mama Rosita :)
First visit to the Zoo
Since there was a lot of family in town, we all decided to go to the Oakland Zoo for the day. I can't remember the last time I went, possibly for a field trip when I was super young? I have to say, it was the perfect zoo for toddlers- big enough, but not too overwhelming. I would totally go back, and potentially consider a season pass if we lived closer.
Checking out the Baboons...some baby baboons too!
William loved all the larger animals, the giraffes behind us were some of his favorites.
Baby elephant :) My Mom, with my Grandma and Suz. My Grandma is 77 and never once complained about some of the hills...she's a beast!
Itxel and Eduardo with David and Diego in their strollers.
Train time! He's becoming slightly obsessed with trains, he LOVED this ride! It was especially fun since we passed more animals along the way. The kangaroos were my favorites :)
Healdsburg Wine Tasting
Some adult time wine tasting in Healdsburg with some of our good friends from college. All 3 of us couples met while studying at UOP (college sweethearts), and all had babies around the same time. So it's been really fun to have our relationships grow and mature through our big life events.
Sycamore Park Time
Hanging out at the park...told you he loves to push the stroller. I have to give it to him, he's pretty good at it.
WoodTech tour
My Uncle Juan Diego was gracious (brave??) enough to invite us, along with other family, for a tour of his recently remodeled company. It was so interesting to learn more about what he does, and to see things up close. It had been some time since Garrett and I were last there. Words cannot describe just how proud I am, and I know others are too, of everything he's accomplishing! Unfortunately, William was interested in running around, instead of the content of the tour. Thankfully, my Uncle is a patient man! I was exhausted after this 2-3 hour long tour, as was Garrett, Susi, My Uncle Carlos and Maybe I'm leaving other people out???
My Unlce Juan Diego explaining the office area, and William right below running around. yikes
Uncle Carlos to the rescue! My Aunt Rosa Maria, and Uncle Carlos arrived and William instantly went nuts over his Godparents! My Uncle Carlos in particular, has a special baby-whisperer talent, and is known for being wonderful with kids. William might like him more the he likes Garrett and I..seriously.
Love for Costco
I have a whole new love for costco samples with a toddler! Although I have to read every single bag/ container before William actually eats any of it, due to his allergies. When he likes something, I pretty much buy it! I had to give into the store bought chicken nuggets, these were actually not bad. I let William sample one at costco and he did a happy dance...I didn't really have a choice. Ugh. I also bought him some super high quality canadian uncured bacon and he SERIOUSLY LOVES that! That's the one thing I know for sure he's eat in the morning!
Cuddles
Cuddling with Daddy, this pic's are some of my favorites!
Cuddling with his "besties" Mr. Raccon and Lucky....and I guess his paci. On our way to L.A for my cousin ( practically a brother to me) Jose's wedding. We got William to fall asleep in the car, but it took some serious soothing. He likes cribs best, that's for sure.
Day Before the Faz Wedding
On our way to breakfast at the hotel, the day before the wedding! :)
At breakfast, William was extra happy to see David and his way of showing it was trying to pat his head but instead he kept pulling his hair. I had to quickly remove his little fingers from his tight grip. Thankfully, David and his Mom were very understanding.
Rehearsal Dinner
Lila's parents were kind enough to host a delicious persian food-filled rehearsal dinner. William of course, was unstoppable, and Garrett and I took turns sweating...I mean taking care of him. Overall he did fine, he is only 15 months and acted accordingly. Thankfully, my dress had some stretch in it to keep up! Ha.
Back at the hotel, he insisted on walking back to our room.
Very into the EXIT sign.
Jose and Lila's Wedding Day!
William, looking dashing and ready for the big event!
Garrett standing with a very wiggly William in the back. I sat closer up front, since I had the honor of doing a reading. There was no way William was going to sit still, Garrett was sweating by the end of the ceremony.
My Uncle giving his Son a last hug before he officially ties the knot, and my Aunt taking in the moment in her gorgeous dress. Also a pic of the groomsmen lined up, my brother Omar is one of them...looking good Omar! :)
My cousin Andrea, looking pretty as always; The handsome ring bearers, Diego and his new friend; The beautiful bride and her proud parents :)

Quick walk so William would get some of his energy out- we walked over to the Maibu Cafe. My Aunt and Uncle had walked us over there after the rehearsal the day before, and I thought it was so cute I wanted to show Gare and William. There were kids everywhere playing and William loved it.
Kimmy's Big Day :)
One of my best friend's from high school, Kim, got married the next day. It was a very beautiful ceremony in Sonoma, dinner took place in a wine cave:)
It's always great seeing these group of girls. Eventhough we don't see each other that often, it's like no time has passed at all when we get together :) Notice how I was able to take quit a few more pictures at this event ;) (Most of the ones above I got from other people.)
Disney Hotel
After having such a fun wedding filled weekend, we decided to hang out at the Disneyland hotel for a couple of nights. I had almost no desire to actually take William into Disneyland, eventough he's free it's just not worth it yet....Well, I felt that way until we were greeted by all the Disney Characters in the lobby and he LOVED them! He was super excited to see Pluto, and Chip & Dale. He kept grabbing their noses, and petting them...it was super cute. He even tried chasing Dale after we were done taking pictures with him!
So I didn't give in- we hung out in the awesome pools at the hotel, and let William run around downtown disney. He especially loved all the lights in the evening time and enjoyed watching all the dancing little kids having a great time to the live music after dinner. Definitely glad we did this!
William also really loves balloons, and this lady made him a dog on a leash. We obviously had to keep a close eye on him, but he loved running through downtown disney with it! It piped within 10 minutes, we saw that coming though.
Hanging in downtown disney, and taking the tram as a ride:)
Not his everyday nap view :)
Loving a yummy bean and rice burrito, such a good little Mexican ;)
Cute fall decorations
Cool Shades
I made up this game where we take turns dancing and singing when we wear sunglasses, and here he is getting my mom to sing and dance with them on.
He's also trying to figure out what Grandpa Mohamed is doing...he was praying, but William thought he was playing and wouldn't leave him alone.
Not super happy on the drive back home.
My pumping supplies are still being put to good use, thanks to William.
Double the Fun
Playing at our Frito Lay friends' house. They have a pair of fraternal twins that are 6 months younger than William. They found him fascinating, and would try and keep up with his walking. William enjoyed playing with them and their toys:)
Looking Smooth
Loving his babyators that Auntie Andrea got him. He kind of looks like Stevie Wonder because he loves to put them on and dance by shaking his head side to side with them on....so adorable!
Bottle Warmer Love
William's most favorite toy in our WHOLE ENTIRE house is....the bottle warmer! So strange, and I feel like a terrible mother letting him play with it, since there are mulitple reasons why this isn't eaxactly the safest toy for him, but he is OBSESSED with it. He loves everything about it. It has a basket within a basket, he loves that. It has a side removeal plastic filter, he really enjoys that. He is amused by the removable top lid, and he freaking adores the cable and dragging the hole thing around the floor like he's walking a pet. How can I take it away from him when he loves this thing soooo much???!! I do watch him like a hawk when he plays with it though, unfortuantely for me that's pretty often.
Sleeping Moves
Still loves sticking his arms and legs out of the crib, sometimes his little foot will get stuck and he freaks out a bit. Doesn't stop him from doing it again though.
Food Wars
My bigget challenge lately has been getting William to eat enough. The pediatrician described him as long and lean, which is fine. He's basically tall and skinny, although his weight is average, I work hard to make sure he's always trying new foods and eating as much as he needs. Some pics of his foods...
Dairy, egg and nut-free homemade waffles and pancakes, which he didn't really love. I'll just have to keep trying! He does love bacon though!
