Month 20: Pregnancy Update, Big Move and Disneyland!

William is now 20 months, and I'm 25 weeks (6 months) pregnant :)

Pregnancy Update

I had a fetal ultrasound done at around 20 weeks, and they checked her larger anatomical parts like her heart, liver, brain, etc. They also counted 10 fingers and 10 toes, checked for cleft palate, and other deficiencies. The sonographer took all the pics and the Radiologist came in and confirmed that everything looks "perfect." Yay! Best news ever, and they confirmed that she's a girl too :)

Belly Shot at 24 weeks:

Last Couple Weeks in the Bay Area

One of William's many "work spaces" in my Parents' kitchen: Consist of pots, pans and  their lids.

Concentrating on playing with train and other toys on the couch.

Yummy breakfast: Bacon (His fave), William friendly pancakes (egg and dairy free) and fresh pomegranate. Now if he would only eat all of it! Ugh

Buying some maternity clothes at the huge store in Walnut Creek...William did not want to leave!

Cute sleeping shot of him in his home at my parents' place, aka the pack n' play.

Eww..

His favorite drawer in the Ripon house consisted of nutribullet items, tupperware and my home popsicle kit.

Our Big Move!

Our Moving date finally arrived, which was exciting, nerve racking and exhausting all at once! Garrett was working in Bakersfield, and William was with my parents in the Bay Area. So this preggers was left in charge of coordinating everything,  which I didn't totally mind. Unfortunately my pregnant body did mind. I was completely exhausted by the end of the two days of packing and loading and my sciatic nerve pain got worst by the day. Eventhough I wasn't actually packing any boxes, I was making sure and packing or re-packing some things and making sure everything was correctly put away and in the right area. So it would be packed together when the movers got to it. I was also making calls on canceling and starting services of both homes. I was definitely not bored!

Garrett's grandma Edith  was generous enough to give us this gorgeous china set from Bavaria that has been passed down in her family. I took the opportunity to unpack it all for the first time to have the movers professionally re-pack it.

Enjoying my last homemade meal in Ripon- bean tacos, in front of the garage while the movers were on lunch break.

Kitchen and dining room all packed up

Master closet all packed...

In addition to the actual movers who were packing everything one day, loading the truck the next day and unloading on day 3, there was an additional team of people that came over and built some wooden crates for my 3 pieces of mirrored furniture- It was quite the ordeal. Thankfully, everything arrived ok in Bakersfield.

Apparently I am a hoarder of empty boxes???!! In my defense, my coat closet was much deeper than I was aware of. It's crazy how much crap you realize you have during a move...this was ridiculous and borderline embarrassing! These are all empty!!

Meanwhile, back in Danville, William was having a much more relaxed moving day with Grandpa and Grandma. When my parents texted me these pictures, they actually made me really happy because W would have been miserable at the house with all the chaos. So it worked out perfect.

My parents then took him to the San Ramon In-n-Out to eat some fries and watch all the cars go by. According to them, he loved it and they camped-out there for quite a while. William is very into cars, trucks, trains and pretty much anything with wheels right now, so he loved hanging my the window and seeing them all drive by. Seriously obsessed.

Signing for more cars!
He sees another one! :)

Good Bye To Ripon

Yes I'm a big sap, so of course the hardest part about saying good bye to our first house as a married couple is parting with William's nursery. Especially because we put so much of our time (Garrett painting and changing hardware etc, and I with the decorating) into it. We also couldn't take his personalized wall decal with us since it's not re-usable :( So W will probably be getting his big-boy room soon, I actually just ordered all his bedding today :)

The moving van delivered all of our items on a friday morning, so Garrett met them there and I planned on leaving Danville a little before W's afternoon nap time, so he would sleep in the car. Well..he fell asleep pretty early and then woke up 30 minutes later! It was not good! He usually naps for 2-3 hours, and our car ride was about 3 and a half hours long. He was not happy, (and neither was I!) so I decided to stop at Harris Ranch so we could use the restroom, eat a snack and stretch our legs. William loved all the ceiling fans (another one of his obsessions!) and the fountains. It was a good idea for sure.

Hanging at the new house!

Breakfast time by our backyard windows.

Cuddling with Mommy :)

One of his favorite places...the kitchen pantry!

"Helping" me cut and put in some contact paper.

"Assisting" in decorating the office. He LOVED this globe!

Happy face fruit, bacon and pancake breakfast :)

Taking a little break and enjoying the park that's about a 5 minute walk from our house. We've been pretty lucky to have great play areas around at both of our family homes that we've lived in. I have a feeling this will be a place we go to quite a bit!

Riding to and from the park in his trike and awesome aviators :)

Prepping for Disneyland?!

"Helping" me sort out what I'm going to wash from the newly decorated bathroom?

Disneyland for Valentines day weekend!!!

We knew we wanted to spend valentines day doing something as a family, and when Disneyland put out their specialty priced so-cal tickets it became the perfect thing to do! We picked up Susi from school on our way there, and were really happy that she took a break and came with us :)

Driving to pick up Auntie Suz on our way... Lucky is ready to go too :)

Loving what he thinks is an "amazing" view....the parking lot. It obviously has a ton of cars parked and moving around, so for him that's the equivalent of an ocean front room!

Heading to Disney:)

Ordering breakfast in downtown disney, meanwhile Suz took William to walk around.

Welcome to Disneyland! William loved walking down main street and checking out all the cool cars, buses and horses. I think we could have hung-out there all day and he would have loved it!

First up...Dumbo :) This was his first ride, so I think he liked it but it didn't get a baby sign language for "more."

The carrousel was up next, this one got a "more" sign. He loved it!

In line for Dumbo's little train ride...this was his favorite....Hands down! It got repeated "more" hand signs afterwards!

We were still waiting in line to get on, and he's already asking for more. He could actually see the train driving by and wanted it to come back.

Saying hello to the story book boats as they passed by.

We thought he would like the story book boats, but after the train, all he wanted to do was go back to it. It didn't help that the train would pass us on the boat, so he just wanted off and back to the  over there.

William wanting us to swing him while walking.

Started to get a little hot, so we found some shade and some animals for William to check out by the thunder railroad mountain. He loved the snacks by the little goats.

We then headed to the tiki room, and he loved that too! He loves birds so it made sense! :) We all enjoyed some dole whip (pineapple soft serve) while waiting for the tiki room show to start. It's dairy free, (more of a sorbet) and was William friendly :)

Last stop before his afternoon nap: Mickeys house in toontown. He loved to pull and push on everything in line. I forgot just how long the wait could be...it's been a while since I'd been to Disneyland with anyone who wanted to take pics with Mickey.

Selfies while William watched the cartoon of Mickey right before we finally got to take pics with him. He was cracking up with the cartoons, so we were trying to capture that, but it was a little dark in there.

William was pretty interested in Mickey, especially his face. He gave him lots of smiles and grabbed his nose a couple times :)

Susi found us an awesome table to sit and eat our lunch. It was waterside and in the shade. So William napped, and we all were able to enjoy lunch together :)

Didn't nap as long as he should have, but oh well. He loved seeing all the ducks in the water.

It was almost 90 degrees out at this point so we were trying to take it easy and stay in the shade. We went on some rides in Bugs land and enjoyed a street dance party in cars land, but we noticed William was not feeling very well. So after we took him to the nurses station, she took his temp and he had a mild fever. His nose was non-stop running and he kept rubbing his eyes, so we decided to call it a day. Especially, since I didn't have any medicine on me, it was in the hotel room. So we left earlier than planned, which I wasn't happy about, but it was the right thing to do. I would have never forgave myself if we stayed and he had something serious. Thankfully, he felt better and was like new the next day. Our tickets have one more day left on them, so we'll come back for round 2 sometime in March or at the very latest April :)

The next day, we decided to go have breakfast at the rainforrest cafe in downtown disney before taking Suz back to UCLA and then heading home. William loved the animals, fishes and hats inside. There was also no wait so that was great too! :)

Last stop was the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. First thing W runs to...a big display of Mickeys! Garrett and W had a little too much fun running around the whole store playing with a cars themed football. I'm sure the staff loved that ;) I however, thought it was adorable and got some of it on video.(link to his youtube play list below.)

Susi got in on the hat fun too! :)

Announcing Baby Stella's name and gender on social media :)

Back to Settling in...

Our days consist of me organizing, decorating and cooking while William plays, plays and plays :) I have to say, I love having him around. I'm thankful I'm not alone for sure! If I distract him with some fun toys he usually comes over for occasional hugs and kisses, and then plays again. He's been a good little moving buddy overall :) we've also joined the MyGym out here. It's the same franchise we were going to in the Bay Area. So that's been nice to go to, especially since I'm meeting other moms there. I'll try and put up some pics of him in action on the next post. He loves it!

Playing with his newly appointed cupboard in the kitchen area, and under the island.

Someone had NOT had their morning milk and bacon yet...ha
